Corbin’s First Bath
Corbin had his first bath on Monday January 4th after his cord fell off. I waited to give him his bath that evening so the kids could see him get his bath. Corbin wasn’t sure he liked his bath. He was happy after his bath was over. We are enjoying Corbin being in our lives. He is an adorable baby.

Our New Addition
On Christmas we got a surprise we weren’t expecting. At about 8:00 a.m. my water started a slow leak. I couldn’t believe this had to happen on Christmas. So we continued to enjoy the festivities of christmas. I got up to make breakfast and everytime I moved more leakage. Before too long I could tell it was for sure my water. I wasn’t contracting at all. We ate our breakfast of homemade cinnamon rolls. Then we got ready to go to the beach. We went on a short walk on the beach and I started having contractions twelve minutes apart and they lasted for a minute. We then went home and started watching Clue. About 1:30 p.m. I was sitting on the couch and it got wet. So we knew for sure that my water was broke. now we wondered went to head to the hospital. So about 3:30 p.m. we got to the hospital. At first they weren’t sure it was my water and then they found out it was and kept me at the hospital. So we were in for a long night. We were anticipating a Christmass baby but I just wasn’t progressing fast enough. Time flew by and before I knew it christmas was gone.
On December 26 at 10:16 a.m. Corbin Glen Fox entered into our lives. Immediately after he was born he was given to me.. It was the most amazing experience. His cord was cut while laying on my chest. Joe got to cut the cord. Corbin Glen Fox weighed 6 lbs. 5 oz. and 20 inches long. He has a head of blond hair. He is the joy of our lives. Morgan, andrew and Emilee are enjoying the new baby.

Christmas 2009
Morgan, Andrew and Emilee woke Joe and I up at 6:01 to start unwrapping our christmas presents. We first started out with our stockings. Emilee looked in her stocking first. Everyone enjoyed taking turns unwrapping their presents. Aunt Niece gave all the kids a block puzzle of pictures of them on it. Emilee was happy to see that Tasha and her were on her puzzle. My mom put a scrapbook together of somethings from my childhood. I made homemade cinnamon rolls for our breakfast. Emilee was glad to get a stuff animal dog since she couldn’t get a real one yet. Andrew was happy with all of his tech decks he got for christmas. Morgan enjoyed the clothes and book she got.
After we were done unwrapping our presents i was sitting on the couch and felt a slow leak coming. Could it be my water breaking? We aren’t quite ready for this. I was wanting to still have time with Morgan, Andrew and Emilee on Christmas. As I was waiting for the cinnamon rolls to bake some more leaking occured. Before long I could tell it had to be my water. So we got ready and went on our walk on the beach. I continued to leak. After the time at the beach we came home and started watching the movie “Clue”. At about 1:30 I was sitting on the couch and it got all wet. Now I knew it was my water. We continued to watch the movie before heading to the hospital. At about 3:00 we headed to the hospital to have this baby.
I am glad that we were able to have at least the morning with Morgan, Andrew and Emilee for Christmas.

Christmas Eve 2009
Today has been a great day. It started out with me going to the doctor to be monitored. I then came home and we had a good lunch of cheese and crackers. Then the kids got to listen to Santa tell them how good they have been this year. each one of them is on the nice list. I guess Santa will visit our house. Morgan, Andrew, Emilee and I played a couple of games of scrabble. It was fun. I looked and the clock and realized it was time for our potatoes to go in the oven so they would be ready in time for dinner. Andrew washed the potatoes and got them ready. Joe then got the roast ready to be cooked. So about 6:00 it was time for our Christmas Eve dinner. It consisted of roast, twice baked potatoes, beans, mushrooms, jello salad(Andrew’s favorite), salad and of course the yummy rolls Morgan had made.
The kids helped clean up the dishes after dinner. Joe was busy making the sauce for our dessert. I have felt on and off contractions throughout the day. The baby needs to wait until after Christmas is over before he can come. The girls had a little program they wanted to share with us. Emilee first sang a song . Morgan played jingle bells on her violin. Then they both sang Silent Night together. After they were done we watched “Joy to the World”. We do this so that we remember the reason we celebrate Christmas. It isn’t for the presentas and Santa. It is for Jesus Christ’s birth. As always Joe read the story of Christ’s birth out of the bible.
It was now time for the tradition of opening gifts on Christmas Eve. We alwys get to open one gift of choice and the other gift we all know what it is. It is always pajamas. The pajamas this year were a hit. I was given a nursing nightgown with a matching onesie for Corbin. Morgan’s other gift was New Moon soundtrack. Andrew’s gift was a neoshifter toy. Emilee’s other gift was Hotel for Dogs DVD. She was so excited that she rolled on the ground. Joe opened Band for Brothers and is now watching it. I also got a DVD of Music and Lyrics. After we were done doing presents Joe had fun tickling each family member. He satrted with Emilee and then ended with me. Emilee and Andrew have been tracking santa all evening. When they last checked he wasn’t far from us so we told them they better get off to bed. So they put a plate of cookies and milk out for Santa with a treat for the reindeers as well. They also made sure to put Santa’s magical key outside the door so he could get in.

Gingerbread House making
On December 22nd Morgan and Emilee made gingerbread dough to make houses out of. After the baking fo the dough and the good smell in the house of gingerbread it was time for them to decorate the houses and train. Morgan and Emilee decorated a house but Andrew wanted to make a train. It took a little bit of time for their houses to stay together. With patience Morgan and Emilee got them to work. Andrew was glad he decorated a train because he said it was a lot easier. Morgan said maybe next year we will choose something els to make since it was difficult to put the house together. Emilee also agreed. Now the houses and train on sitting on display in my kitchen area.

Ward Christmas Party 2009
On Saturday December 19th was the Carmel Valley Ward Christmas Party. We had a nice dinner and visited with our friends. For the program the primary kids dressed up as angels and shepherds. Andrew got to be a shepard and Emilee an angel. They sang a couple of songs during the program. At the end they sang a song until they heard Santa coming. Santa is always what the children look forward to seeing. so Emilee and Andrew waited their turn to have a chance to sit on Santa’s lap.
